Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain for a Challenger 350 based in White Plains, NY. This is an onsite, flight services position, ideal for a dedicated professional who embodies the art of flight and prioritizes safety, security, and quality. The Captain will exercise Pilot in Command authority on all assigned flights, holding ultimate responsibility for their safe conduct.
Position Summary:
The Pilot in Command reports to the Lead Captain and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flight assignments, adhering to company operating policies and procedures. The Captain is the final authority for the safe operation of the flight.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and cancel flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes based on en route conditions, ensuring continued flight operations under appropriate company guidelines.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently, aligning with industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of all flight aspects with the Second in Command.
- Record aircraft discrepancies in the log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance.
- Verify that the flight crew reports for duty appropriately attired and fit for duty.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized agencies.
- File flight plans with the FAA or ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform duties of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) as applicable.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or delegate to the Second in Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command.
- Complete and send leg manifests to operations control prior to each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet time.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness to travel worldwide extensively, without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
