Global 6000/ GL7500 Captain
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain for Global 6000/ GL7500 aircraft. Based in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, the Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flights, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. He will exercise Pilot-in-Command authority and serve as the final authority for the safe conduct of each assigned flight.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining optimal departure times and routes, and making critical decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures throughout each flight.
- Implement necessary changes due to en route conditions, maintaining adherence to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, upholding industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough and complete understanding with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies and report them to the Director of Maintenance, determining deferral or repair needs per the approved MEL.
- Verify that the flight crew is properly attired and mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or directed.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS.
- File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC).
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second-in-Command, preparing them for Pilot-in-Command duties.
- Complete and send leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues, reporting hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally, including interactions with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbine flight time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively, without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
