Jazz is seeking highly qualified and experienced ATPL rated pilots for Direct Entry Captain positions on the Dash 8-400 aircraft, based in Toronto and Montreal.
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following: a valid Transport Canada Instrument Rating; a valid Airline Transport Pilot License; a valid Transport Canada Multi-Engine Rating; a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate. The candidate must also be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), hold a current passport at the time of hire, and if applicable, be able to obtain and maintain the crew visa documentation required for operation within the USA. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents without restrictions, hold a high school diploma, and meet the Transport Canada English proficiency standard. Hiring minimums for Direct Entry Captain require an ATPL, with preference given to candidates with 705-level Pilot in Command experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications exceeding the basic requirements, including: similar airline type experience such as 3000 hours total time, 1000 hours multi-engine turbine time, and at least 500 hours of Pilot in Command time on a multi-engine aircraft; two-crew multi-engine turbine experience; graduation from an Aviation College degree or diploma program; commercial or military flight experience; experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS) and/or glass cockpits; and internal Jazz referrals.
