Role Overview
JSX is seeking a motivated Quick Upgrade Captain to operate aircraft safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards. This position is designed for pilots seeking a clear path to the left seat, as the Quick Upgrade Captain is prioritized for advancement when operational needs arise. Crewmembers typically fly 3-5 legs per day, 14-16 days per month, with a focus on returning to their home base daily.
Key Responsibilities

Pre-Flight:
Conduct detailed reviews of flight parameters, including maintenance status, NOTAMs, weather, fuel, and routing via Traxxall. Coordinate with the Captain regarding departure, arrival, and diversion strategies.

In-Flight:
Operate aircraft in strict accordance with FAA regulations, JSX SOPs, and safety protocols. Maintain communication with Mission Control, Ground Operations, ATC, and cabin crew.

Post-Flight:
Assist with quick turn tasks, including light cabin cleaning and ground support, to ensure on-time departures. Document maintenance requirements accurately.

Professional Development:
Participate in recurrent training and performance evaluations. Provide support for baggage handling and ground operations as required.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2,500 fixed-wing total flight hours.

Minimum 500 multi-engine hours and 500 turbine hours.

Minimum 100 flight hours within the last 12 months.

Clean safety record: No FAA violations, accidents, incidents, or suspensions; no significant training or check ride failures.

Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the position.

Valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate.

Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Current FCC Radio Operator’s Permit.
-
Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
Preferred Qualifications

3,000+ total flight hours.

1,000+ multi-engine hours.

Embraer 135/145 experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation:
$150.00 daily during training; $259.00 daily while on the line (plus per diem). Includes a guaranteed 14-day minimum salary, productivity pay, and quarterly bonuses.
