The Captain, Airplane plays a critical role in the safe, consistent, legal, and efficient operation of company aircraft. This position ensures compliance with all applicable federal and international regulations, as well as internal company policies, standards, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe, consistent, legal, and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict compliance with all applicable federal and international regulations, alongside company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Effectively leads and manages the flight crew during all phases of travel when away from the home base.
- Actively participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives and processes.
Essential Duties:
- Operates aircraft strictly within defined limitations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensures full compliance with all applicable customs, immigration, and cabotage laws for domestic and international flights.
- Completes thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections and procedures, promptly notifying the company of any deviations to the planned itinerary or overnight locations.
- Accurately records all flight times and documents any observed aircraft defects.
- Advises the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance regarding any maintenance problems to ensure timely correction.
- Maintains consistent contact with passengers and remains readily available while on the road.
- Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilots.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree or Technical Degree is preferred.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with a Multi-Engine land rating.
- A minimum of 3,000 hours of fixed-wing total flight time (a maximum of 100 hours of simulator time may be included).
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of multi-engine Jet flight time.
- Demonstrated Large Cabin Gulfstream experience or possession of a relevant Type Rating.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience operating large or Heavy jets.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in international flight operations.
- Logged actual instrument and night flight time equivalent to 10% of total flight time (simulator time may be counted towards the instrument requirement).
- Holds a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Possesses a clean record with no history of accidents or violations.
- Demonstrates a satisfactory employment record and evidence of progressive career advancement.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a Company physical examination.
Other Requirements:
- The position is based in West Trenton, New Jersey, and necessitates both domestic and international travel.
- The successful candidate must be willing to reside within a one-hour commute of Trenton Mercer Airport.
Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750. The Company offers highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs, and this position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
