About the Role

The Pilot Development Program is tailored for student pilots committed to building a long-term career with Horizon Air. Key responsibilities for program participants include:

• Attending scheduled program-specific meetings.
• Participating in bi-annual check-in meetings with the program director.
• Completing monthly surveys to report flight hours.

Requirements

Prospective Pilot Development Program participants must meet the following essential criteria:

• Possess an active Private Pilot License.
• Hold a valid and unexpired FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Maintain a valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Have a valid US driver's license.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide accurate flight records, including comprehensive logbooks.
• Be committed to successfully completing the pilot development program in accordance with established guidelines, a prerequisite for the Horizon Air First Officer position.
• Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Possess and maintain a valid passport that permits unrestricted international travel, specifically to and from the U.S. without requiring a Temporary Resident Permit.
