About the Role
As the representative of Horizon Air, you will serve as an authentic and gracious host to passengers. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of inflight service duties and safety procedures. This is a union-represented full-time, non-exempt position.
Key Duties

Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations.

Verify that all safety equipment on aircraft is in working order.

Greet passengers, assist with seating arrangements, carry-on baggage stowage, and security.

Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures for all aircraft.

Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.

Effectively market and process sales for onboard products and services using a mobile device.

Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies.

Respond to passenger inquiries regarding flight operations and provide destination information.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Uncompromising dedication to safety.

Body size must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions (e.g., jump seat, harness without modification, cabin aisle, and emergency exits).

Ability to meet the company's grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.

Demonstrated physical ability to perform flight attendant duties.

Ability to relocate to any of the flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.

Willingness to serve alcohol.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and perform effectively under stress.

Ability to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Possession of or ability to obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States; non-U.S. passport holders require appropriate travel documentation.

Must be able to fly unrestricted into and out of Canada.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 21 years old.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Completion of a self-guided voice interview (approximately 30-40 minutes) in a quiet location by October 25 at 7:00 PM Pacific Time.
