Horizon Air is seeking a Flight Attendant to join its team, operating flights regionally throughout the West. This role focuses on delivering exceptional inflight experiences while prioritizing safety and maintaining a positive attitude.

As the representative of Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines, the Flight Attendant serves as an authentic and gracious host. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of inflight service duties and safety procedures, alongside a commitment to fostering a positive environment for guests and colleagues. This is a union-represented role.
Key Duties

Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations.

Ensure all aircraft safety equipment is in working order.

Greet passengers, assist with seating, carry-on baggage, and security.

Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.

Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol.

Market and process sales of onboard products using a mobile device.
-
Calmly resolve passenger issues, including medical emergencies.

Respond to inquiries regarding flight operations and provide destination information.

Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Unwavering dedication to safety.

Body size must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions (e.g., jump seat, harness, cabin aisle, emergency exits).

Ability to meet company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.

Physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties.

Ability to relocate to any of the following flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.

Willingness to serve alcohol.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Adaptability to perform various duties and function effectively under stress.

Ability to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Possess or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States; appropriate travel documentation required for non-U.S. passports.

Ability to fly unrestricted in and out of Canada.

Proficiency in English communication.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 21 years old.

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Must complete a self-guided voice interview (approximately 30-40 minutes) in a quiet location by October 25 at 7:00 PM Pacific Time to be considered.

Must be able to obtain an Airport SIDA badge.

A starting hourly rate of $0.00 USD, with a first-year step rate of $20.66 per contract.
