Flight Attendant - Horizon Air

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full compliance with all safety regulations and ensure all aircraft safety equipment is fully operational.
  • Provide exceptional passenger service, including greetings, assistance with seating and baggage stowage, and delivering information regarding flight operations and destinations.
  • Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcoholic refreshments.
  • Promote and process sales of onboard products using mobile devices.
  • Manage passenger situations effectively, including medical emergencies, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by flight operations leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Hold or be able to obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States, including the ability to fly unrestricted in and out of Canada.
  • Physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties, including meeting aircraft-specific dimensions (jump seats, aisles, emergency exits).
  • Commitment to maintaining company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
  • Ability to relocate to designated flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; or Everett, WA.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and comfort with mobile technology.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Training and Assessment

Successful candidates must be able to complete an approximately 40-minute audio assessment as part of the application process. Selected candidates will be required to attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Tattoo and Appearance Policy

Visible tattoos are not permitted on the face, front of neck, or chest. Tattoos on hands are limited to one per hand (size of a quarter or smaller). Tattoos on arms, legs, feet, back of neck, or behind ears are permitted provided they meet specific size and visibility guidelines. Tattoos must be concealable via uniform or approved jewelry; covering with makeup is not permitted.

  • First-year step rate: $20.66 per hour (per collective bargaining agreement).

Regulatory Information

Employees in this position are required to obtain and maintain an Airport SIDA badge. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including mandatory pre-employment and post-offer drug testing.
