Flight Attendant - Horizon Air
Horizon Air is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Flight Attendants. In this role, you will represent Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines, serving as an authentic and gracious host while ensuring the highest standards of safety and service for our guests throughout the West.
Role Summary
As a Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for providing signature inflight experiences, managing safety protocols, and maintaining a positive, approachable demeanor. This is a union-represented, safety-sensitive position requiring adaptability, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain full compliance with all safety regulations and ensure all aircraft safety equipment is fully operational.

Provide exceptional passenger service, including greetings, assistance with seating, and stowage of carry-on baggage.

Conduct safety demonstrations and explain emergency procedures clearly to passengers.

Prepare and serve onboard meals and beverages, including the sale of onboard products via mobile devices.

Resolve passenger situations calmly and professionally, including the management of medical emergencies.

Provide destination information and answer inquiries regarding flight operations.
Required Qualifications

Minimum age of 21 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Current passport with unlimited access in/out of the U.S. and ability to fly unrestricted to Canada; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards (specific tattoo policy applies).

Physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties and fit within aircraft safety dimensions (e.g., jump seats, harness, cabin aisles).

Ability to relocate to assigned bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; or Everett, WA.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and willingness to travel extensively.

Must successfully complete four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Proficiency in the English language.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting Rate:
First-year step rate is $20.66 per hour (per collective bargaining agreement).

Regulatory Requirements
Employees are required to obtain and maintain an Airport SIDA badge; failure to qualify or maintain this clearance will result in termination. As this is a safety-sensitive position, all applicants must pass pre-employment drug testing in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Applicants must also complete a 40-minute audio assessment as part of the application process.
