Role Overview
As a Horizon Air Flight Attendant representing Alaska Airlines, the successful candidate will serve as an authentic and gracious host for regional flights throughout the West. This position demands a commitment to the highest safety standards, the ability to maintain a positive and approachable demeanor, and a dedication to creating remarkable inflight experiences. This is a union-represented, safety-sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain full compliance with all safety regulations and ensure all aircraft safety equipment is in operational order.

Greet passengers, assist with seating assignments, and manage carry-on baggage stowage and security protocols.

Demonstrate the use of safety equipment and explain emergency procedures to passengers.

Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including the service of alcohol.

Market onboard products and process sales using mobile devices.

Resolve passenger situations calmly, including the management of medical emergencies.

Provide flight operation information and destination details to guests.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current passport with unlimited access to the U.S. and ability to fly unrestricted to Canada.

Proficiency in English.

Must meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.

Physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties, including fitting within specific aircraft dimensions (jump seats, aisles, and emergency exits).

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel extensively and relocate to designated bases (Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; or Everett, WA).

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Must successfully complete a 4-week paid training program in Portland, OR.
Tattoo Policy
Candidates must adhere to the following grooming standards: No visible tattoos on the face, front of neck, or chest. One tattoo no larger than a quarter is permitted per hand. Tattoos in other areas must not exceed the size of a credit card or be offensive. Tattoos are permitted on arms, legs, feet, back of neck, or behind each ear, provided they are not visible when looking directly at the individual. Tattoos must be covered by uniform pieces or approved jewelry; the use of makeup for coverage is not permitted.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a non-exempt, full-time position. The first-year step rate is $20.66 per hour, governed by the collective bargaining agreement. Total rewards include:
