Flight Attendant - Horizon Air

Horizon Air is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Flight Attendants. Operating regionally throughout the West, our Flight Attendants are the face of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines as authentic and gracious hosts. This is a union-represented, full-time, non-exempt position that requires an unwavering commitment to safety and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full compliance with all safety regulations and ensure all onboard safety equipment is functional.
  • Provide exceptional passenger service, including greeting guests, assisting with seating and stowage, and delivering meal and beverage services (including alcohol).
  • Explain and demonstrate safety equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Effectively market onboard products and process sales using mobile technology.
  • Resolve passenger situations during flight, including managing medical emergencies.
  • Provide professional assistance regarding flight operations and destination information.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of customer or community service experience.
  • Possess a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the U.S. and ability to travel unrestricted in and out of Canada.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and demonstrate English language proficiency.
  • Physical ability to perform all Flight Attendant duties, including fitting within specific aircraft dimensions (e.g., jump seats, emergency exits).
  • Willingness to work flexible, varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to relocate to assigned bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; or Everett, WA.
  • Must meet company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards (specific tattoo policy applies).
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge.
  • Commitment to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Compensation and Benefits

The first-year step rate for this position is $20.66 per hour, governed by the collective bargaining agreement. Total rewards include:
