About the Role

Horizon Air is seeking dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join their team as Flight Attendants. Flight Attendants are the face of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines, and are instrumental in creating a positive and memorable travel experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure all onboard safety equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Greet passengers, assist with seating, baggage stowage, and security.
  • Effectively communicate and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol.
  • Promote and process sales of onboard products and services using mobile devices.
  • Calmly and professionally manage passenger situations, including medical emergencies.
  • Respond to passenger inquiries regarding flight operations and offer destination information.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to ensure a smooth and safe flight.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
  • Uncompromising commitment to safety as the number-one priority.
  • Ability to meet specific aircraft dimensions for cabin access and safety equipment.
  • Adherence to company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
  • Physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties.
  • Willingness to relocate to any Horizon Air flight attendant base (Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA).
  • Willingness to serve alcohol.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Adaptability to perform diverse duties and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete a four-week paid training program in Portland, OR.
  • Possession of a valid passport with unrestricted access to and from the United States. Ability to fly unrestricted into and out of Canada.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Application Process

An important part of the application is a self-guided voice interview. This interview is audio-only and takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete. Applicants must ensure they are in a quiet location. This step is mandatory and must be completed by December 3rd at 7:00 PM Pacific Time for applications to be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a union-represented position with a starting step rate of $20.66 per hour (first year, per contract). Horizon Air offers a comprehensive total rewards package which may include:
