Second in Command Pilot

The Second in Command Pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, freight, or other commercial cargo. He or she performs duties in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company flight procedures, and company policies on scheduled flights and routes, ensuring the utmost safety of each flight. Responsibilities encompass all phases of flight operations, including preflight preparation, safe conduct of flight, and post-flight duties. This includes reviewing and ensuring all required paperwork and flight restrictions are met.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time to serve as pilot in command in part 121 operations (per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)). Proof of this flight time requirement is mandatory and will be verified during the interview process, with pilot logbooks reviewed by the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations. Alternatively, candidates may qualify with 200 hours as second in command at a part 121 carrier (per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
