Second in Command Pilot
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Second in Command, contributing directly to the safe and efficient transport of passengers and cargo.
Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: The Second in Command is responsible for all aspects of flight, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This encompasses:
- Preflight: Meticulous review of flight plans, weather conditions, aircraft documentation, and relevant restrictions.
- In-Flight: Maintaining situational awareness, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Company Flight Procedures, and established safety protocols.
- Post-Flight: Completion of all required documentation and debriefings.
- Collaboration: This role necessitates effective coordination with ground crews, dispatch, and other operational personnel to facilitate smooth flight operations. This includes communication related to fueling, loading, passenger handling, and other logistics.
- Safety & Compliance: The Second in Command plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest level of safety and compliance. This includes strict adherence to all FARs, Company Flight Operations Manuals (FOM), Company policies, and Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations (as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)). Proof of flight time must be provided and will be verified.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 200 hours of experience as Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier (as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
