Role Overview
Horizon Air is seeking dedicated, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Flight Attendants. In this role, you will serve as the face of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines as an authentic and gracious host. You will provide signature inflight experiences across our regional network in the West while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is a union-represented position requiring a professional, approachable demeanor and the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain full compliance with all safety regulations and ensure all onboard safety equipment is functional.

Execute safety demonstrations and explain emergency procedures to passengers.

Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and secure carry-on baggage.

Provide professional inflight service, including the preparation and service of meals, beverages, and alcohol.

Manage onboard sales and marketing of products using mobile technology.

Resolve passenger situations calmly and professionally, including the management of medical emergencies.

Communicate effectively regarding flight operations and destination information.
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years old.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess/obtain a current passport with unlimited access in/out of the U.S. and Canada.

Ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Physical ability to perform all Flight Attendant duties, including fitting within specific aircraft dimensions (jump seat, harness, aisle, and emergency exits).

Must meet company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards, including specific tattoo policies.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Ability to relocate to assigned bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; or Everett, WA.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the willingness to travel extensively.

Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport SIDA badge.

Successful completion of a 4-week paid training program in Portland, OR.

First-year step rate: $20.66 per hour (per collective bargaining agreement).
