Hong Kong Airlines is conducting a Pilot Recruitment Roadshow in March 2025, featuring sharing sessions and onsite assessments, offering qualified individuals the chance to join their world-class flight crew. The airline seeks high-caliber and enthusiastic pilots to contribute to its dynamic team and further its global expansion with a new fleet of Boeing 787-800 aircraft.

Hong Kong Airlines provides a comprehensive benefits package including 35 days of annual leave, loss of license insurance, life and personal accident insurance, medical coverage, travel benefits, relocation allowance, standby allowance, child education allowance, and other additional allowances.

Minimum Requirements for Type-Rated Pilots:

A320 Captain - Type Rated:

  • Minimum of 5,000 hours total pilot flight time in aircraft exceeding 40,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 1,500 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours in multi-crew, jet transport exceeding 40,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 3,500 hours in multi-crew, jet transport exceeding 40,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 1,000 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on EFIS typed aircraft.
  • Minimum of 500 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on A320.
  • Must have flown the A320 within the last 5 years.
  • Four years of working experience as an airline transport pilot.
  • Valid multi-engine ICAO ATPL License with Instrument Rating acceptable by HKCAD.
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.

A320 First Officer - Type Rated:

  • Valid ICAO ATPL or CPL (frozen ATPL).
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.
  • Valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
  • 1,000 hours of flying experience on aircraft exceeding 10,000kgs.
  • 200 hours on A320.
  • Must have flown the A320 within the last 5 years (ATPL/CPL holder AR/IR have not expired for more than 5 years).

A330 Captain - Type Rated:

  • Minimum of 5,000 hours total pilot flight time in aircraft exceeding 40,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 1,500 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on Fly-by-Wire or Wide-Bodied aircraft.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours PIC in multi-crew, jet transport exceeding 40,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 3,500 hours in multi-crew, jet transport exceeding 60,000kgs.
  • Minimum of 500 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on A330.
  • Must have flown the A330 within the last 5 years.
  • Four years of working experience as an airline transport pilot.
  • Valid multi-engine ICAO ATPL License with Instrument Rating acceptable by HKCAD.
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.

A330 First Officer - Type Rated:

  • Valid ICAO ATPL or CPL (frozen ATPL).
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.
  • Valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
  • 1,000 hours of flying experience on aircraft exceeding 10,000kgs.
  • Minimum 500 hours on a Fly By Wire/Wide Bodied Aircraft.
  • 200 hours on A330.
  • Must have flown the A330 within the last 5 years (ATPL/CPL holder AR/IR have not expired for more than 5 years).

B787 Captain - Type Rated:

  • Minimum of 7,000 hours total pilot flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,500 PIC hours on B787/B777, with at least 500 PIC hours on B787.
  • Must have flown the B787 within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum of 2,500 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on Boeing aircraft.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as an airline transport pilot.
  • Valid multi-engine ICAO ATPL License with Instrument Rating acceptable by HKCAD.
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.

B787 First Officer - Type Rated:

  • Minimum of 2,500 hours total pilot flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours on Boeing aircraft.
  • Minimum of 500 hours on B787.
  • Must have flown the B787 within the past 12 months.
  • Valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating acceptable by HKCAD.
  • Valid ICAO ATPL or CPL (frozen ATPL).
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above.
