Aircraft Captain

Honeywell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. This pivotal role carries the highest onboard authority, demanding meticulous attention to the safety of passengers and crew, alongside the successful execution of each flight. The Captain holds ultimate command during flights, making crucial decisions, diligently monitoring aircraft systems, and adhering to all aviation regulations and stringent safety standards.

Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, the Aircraft Captain will be based in Phoenix. This role has a direct impact on passenger and crew safety and comfort, ensuring each flight is a secure and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and command aircraft in a consistently safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure full compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies.
  • Plan and execute flight operations, encompassing meticulous pre-flight checks, precise route planning, and effective fuel management.
  • Vigilantly monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control and all relevant parties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Minimum of 2000 hours of total flight experience.
  • Minimum of 1000 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbine-powered aircraft.
  • Possession of a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Proficiency in spoken and comprehended English, meeting the standards set by ICAO Annex 1.
  • Ability to successfully pass a company pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation conducted by Honeywell’s Security Department.
  • Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field.
  • Additional certifications or training in aviation safety and emergency procedures.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
