Senior Test Pilot
Honeywell Aerospace seeks a highly experienced and skilled Senior Test Pilot to join its team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this pivotal role, you will act as a mentor-leader, playing a vital part in the development, certification, and demonstration of cutting-edge aerospace technology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive flight tests to evaluate the performance and capabilities of aircraft systems and components.
- Develop and meticulously execute test plans, techniques, and procedures.
- Analyze gathered test data and formulate recommendations for performance enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues that arise during testing.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with all aviation regulations and stringent safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports and contribute to the development of technical documentation.
- Participate actively in marketing and demonstration activities aimed at engaging customers.
- Conduct familiarization, demonstration, training, and evaluation flights for various stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop the skills of aspiring Test Pilots, fostering a culture of expertise and excellence.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Extensive experience in engineering and developmental flight test programs.
- Proven experience with the operation and regulations surrounding experimentally certified aircraft.
- A minimum of 2000 hours of flight experience in turbine-powered aircraft.
- A valid Type Rating for large turbine aircraft.
- An FAA ATP Airplane Multi-Engine Land or Commercial Certificate, accompanied by an Instrument Rating.
- The ability to maintain a First Class Medical Certificate.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience serving as a Lead Test Pilot or in a leadership position within a test program.
- Graduation from a full-course test pilot school (SETP-recognized) or equivalent experience in developmental flight test programs.
- A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- DER certification.
- A dual pilot rating with Rotorcraft-Helicopter ATP or Commercial Certificate.
- Flight test experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems/Urban Air Mobility.
