Test Pilot - Honeywell Aerospace

Honeywell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Pilot to join our elite team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in shaping the future of aerospace technology, contributing to the development, certification, and demonstration of cutting-edge aviation solutions.
As a Test Pilot at Honeywell, you will join a dedicated team of professionals, including fellow test pilots, flight test engineers, and support staff. Together, you will work towards the common goal of providing accurate and reliable data to support our engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to operate a diverse fleet of 10 aircraft, ranging from a Boeing 757 to a Beechcraft Bonanza and an AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive flight tests to evaluate the performance, handling qualities, and capabilities of aircraft systems and components.
- Develop and execute meticulous test plans, employing rigorous techniques and procedures.
- Analyze complex test data, providing insightful recommendations for design improvements and system optimization.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure meticulous compliance with stringent aviation regulations and unwavering safety standards.
- Generate detailed test reports and contribute to the development of comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate on strategic marketing and impactful demonstration activities to showcase our advanced technologies to valued customers.
- Conduct thorough familiarization, demonstration, training, and evaluation flights, ensuring the highest levels of safety and proficiency.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2000 hours of flight experience in turbine-powered aircraft, demonstrating extensive operational expertise.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land privileges or Commercial Pilot certificate with an Instrument Rating.
- Ability to maintain a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate, ensuring peak physical condition.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, providing a solid foundation in technical principles.
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in engineering and developmental flight test programs, demonstrating advanced skills in aircraft evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field, reflecting a deep understanding of aerospace principles.
- Proven experience with the operation and regulations surrounding experimentally certified aircraft, showcasing expertise in a specialized domain.
- Type rating in large turbine aircraft, further enhancing operational capabilities.
- Designated Engineering Representative (DER) certification, signifying recognized technical authority.
- Dual rating with a Rotorcraft-Helicopter ATP or Commercial Certificate, broadening flight experience and versatility.
- Experience in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) / Urban Air Mobility (UAM) flight test, highlighting adaptability to emerging technologies.
