About the Role
The Test Pilot plays a pivotal role in the development, certification, and demonstration of Honeywell's industry-leading aerospace technology. As a valued member of a high-performing team of test pilots, flight test engineers, and support staff, you will be instrumental in providing accurate and reliable data to support engineering initiatives. Honeywell boasts a unique and diverse fleet of aircraft, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to operate a variety of platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct flight tests to evaluate aircraft systems and components, assessing performance and capabilities.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, techniques, and procedures.
- Analyze test data, providing insightful recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and stringent safety standards.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in marketing and demonstration activities for customers.
- Conduct familiarization, demonstration, training, and evaluation flights as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2000 hours in turbine-powered aircraft.
- FAA ATP Airplane Multi-Engine Land or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating.
- Ability to maintain a First Class Medical certification.
- Bachelor's degree.
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive engineering and developmental flight test experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with the operation and regulations surrounding experimentally certified aircraft.
- Type rating in large turbine aircraft.
- DER certification.
- Dual-rated pilot with Rotorcraft-Helicopter ATP or Commercial Certificate.
- Unmanned Aerial Systems/Urban Air Mobility flight test experience.
