Position Overview
The Pilot Pathway Aircrew Instructor (PPAI) delivers both fleet-specific and general subjects ground training to pilots employed by Hawaiian Airlines. In addition, the PPAI takes part in course development and maintenance in support of Flight Standards & Qualification (FS&Q) training activities.
After a minimum of 12-months as a Hawaiian Airlines employee and 6-months as a qualified FS&Q Instructor, PPAI’s are guaranteed a First Officer interview during the next available First Officer hiring period given:
Upon successful completion of First Officer interviews, the Instructor will be placed into the pilot hiring pool and is eligible to transfer to a pilot position 24-months after qualifying as a FS&Q Instructor.
Key Responsibilities
***DOT Regulation, 14 CFR Part 120 Subpart E 120.105-120.109 identifies this position as performing safety sensitive functions. Prior to any offer of employment or transfer into this position you will be required to submit to a DOT Pre-employment drug test for evidence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP), and Amphetamines or a metabolite of those drugs.
Minimum Requirements
**All applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted, and they must successfully pass the drug test. Failure to submit to testing or positive indications of drug use will render the applicant ineligible for employment with Hawaiian Airlines and any employment offer will be withdrawn.
