Hawaiian Airlines is seeking dedicated Flight Attendants to join their team in Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), and Seattle (SEA). This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, providing an exceptional "Aloha" experience throughout their journey. Flight Attendants are expected to be physically and psychologically capable of performing safety procedures and assisting guests during emergencies, while also delivering a high standard of customer service.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant at Hawaiian Airlines is to ensure guest safety aboard company aircraft. This involves being prepared for and capable of executing emergency procedures, as well as providing attentive and pleasant service to all passengers. The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment, the ability to manage challenging situations, and the skill to interact effectively with diverse personalities. A secondary, yet crucial, aspect of the role is to deliver a consistent and excellent customer service experience, including in-flight food and beverage service, embodying the spirit of Aloha. This is a union-represented position.
Key Duties

Conduct pre-flight briefings and prepare the aircraft cabin for boarding and departure.

Greet guests, assist with seating and luggage, and respond to inquiries throughout the flight.

Demonstrate and enforce safety equipment usage and compliance with regulations.

Respond to emergency situations, administer first aid, and report incidents.

Provide food and beverage service, manage onboard purchases, and handle payments.

Prepare the cabin for landing and assist with deplaning.

Complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures.

Collaborate with crew members to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Assist ill or incapacitated passengers and fellow crew members.

Operate emergency equipment and assist in evacuations, including the use of emergency slides.

Perform duties requiring physical strength, such as lifting emergency cabin windows.
Requirements

Minimum age of 21.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Two (2) years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR four (4) years of customer contact and issue resolution experience with the general public in industries such as retail, education, health care, and/or professional services.

Proficiently speak business-level Italian and read Latin script.

Vertical reach of 82 inches without shoes.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.

Comfortable participating in water survival training.

Ability to properly secure oneself in a jump seat with harness and move expeditiously through the cabin aisle.

Ability to serve alcohol.

Willingness to relocate within the state of Hawaii or the continental U.S.

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Must successfully pass a tuberculosis (TB) test.

Possession of a valid passport and the ability to secure applicable visas for international travel.

Legal right to travel from all countries served by Hawaiian Airlines.

Travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment.

Ability to work alternative schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Professional appearance standards apply; no visible body art or certain piercings while in uniform.

Must be able to obtain and maintain authorization for unescorted access to aircraft and SIDA areas.
Qualifications

Successfully complete an FAA-approved, unpaid eight (8) week intensive training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu.

Satisfactorily complete annual FAA-approved re-certification provided by Hawaiian Airlines.

Possess the ability to learn and maintain current knowledge and competency of emergency procedures in accordance with Hawaiian and FAA regulations.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively diffuse and resolve difficult customer situations.

Ability to work effectively with other colleagues to provide prompt and pleasant responses to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.

College education or degree is preferred.
