Hawaiian Airlines is seeking dedicated Flight Attendants to ensure guest safety and provide exceptional service aboard their aircraft. About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant is to guarantee the safety and security of guests during flights, requiring the physical and psychological capability to perform safety procedures and assist in emergency situations. In addition to safety, Flight Attendants are essential in delivering Hawaiian Airlines' signature Aloha experience through attentive and pleasant customer service. This includes providing food and beverage service and managing guest interactions in a fast-paced environment. This is a union-represented position.
Key Duties

Conducting preflight briefings and preparing the aircraft cabin for boarding and departure.

Greeting guests, assisting with seating and luggage, and responding to inquiries.

Demonstrating the use of safety equipment and ensuring guest compliance with regulations.

Directing and assisting guests during emergency procedures and administering first aid.

Providing in-flight food, beverage, and sales service.

Preparing the cabin for landing and assisting with guest deplaning.

Completing annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures.

Collaborating with crew members to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Performing essential duties during emergency situations, including evacuations and operating emergency equipment.
Requirements

Two (2) years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR four (4) years of customer contact and issue resolution in retail, education, health care, or professional services.

Proficiency in speaking business-level Italian and reading Latin script.

Minimum vertical reach of 82 inches without shoes.

Ability to learn and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures as per Hawaiian Airlines and FAA regulations.

Demonstrated strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively de-escalate and resolve customer situations.

Ability to work effectively in an environment with varying climatic conditions, gravitational loads, and cabin pressurization.

Must be able to stand for extended periods (four to seventeen hours), with the potential need for stooping, twisting, pulling, and pushing cabin equipment.

Ability to lift 25lbs from floor to above shoulder height.

Comfortable participating in water safety training and being in water during an inflight emergency.

Ability to properly secure oneself in a jump seat with a harness and move expeditiously through the cabin aisle.

Successful completion of an FAA-approved, unpaid eight (8) week intensive training program.

Ability to serve alcohol.

Willingness to relocate within Hawaii or the continental U.S.

Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.

Must pass a tuberculosis (TB) test.

Possession of a valid passport and ability to secure applicable visas for international travel.

Legal right to travel from all countries served by Hawaiian Airlines.

Travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment.

Ability to work alternative schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum age of 21.

Must present a professional image; no visible body art, facial or multiple piercings, gauge piercings, or extreme hair color/style while in uniform or in public areas.
