Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework desired.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot Certificate, with Multiengine Airplane and Instrument Privileges
  • FAA 1 st Class or 2 nd Class Medical Certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s License
  • Valid U.S. Passport
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Legally eligible for unrestricted domestic and international travel
  • Insurable as PIC under the Company's aircraft insurance policy

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 2,000 total flight hours
  • 1,500 hours as PIC
  • 250 hours multiengine
  • 250 hours turbine engine
  • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Actively flying fixed-wing aircraft for the past 12 months
  • Previous experience as a pilot in corporate and/or charter operations

Job Summary:

Generally responsible for acting as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) on assigned flights, as designated by the Chief Pilot. With a primary focus on safety, this position will arrange and provide transport on a timely basis by piloting company-operated aircraft. The Corporate Pilot may be responsible for other flight department-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to acquire and/or maintain all necessary FAA qualifications and certifications.
Ability to acquire and/or maintain valid and current Driver’s License and Passport.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings deemed appropriate.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding passengers and trip itineraries.
Demonstrated knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, aviation regulations, and aircraft operation procedures.
Exceptional customer services skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to walk and ascend stairs.
Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, and kneel.
Ability to reach with both arms.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently; greater than 50 lbs upon occasion.
Manual dexterity in both hands.
Ability to meet or exceed the Medical Standards and Certification requirements for pilots set forth in 14 C.F.R. Part 67.

  • Physical stature and agility that allows the pilot to enter, occupy, and exit the pilot seats of company-owned aircraft without excessive strain, interference with aircraft controls, or damage to cockpit furnishings or equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate aircraft in compliance with all company directives, manufacturer configurations and limitations, safety standards, FAR and other applicable laws and regulations, and respective airport regulations.
    Assume standard PIC/SIC duties and responsibilities, including filing flight plans, maintaining logs and records, completing pre-flight and post-flight inspections, analyzing weather conditions, pre-flight planning, in-flight navigation and operation, post flight procedure, etc.
    Ensure general preparation of the aircraft for flight as well as the safety and comfort of passengers.
    Load and unload passenger luggage.
    On days that are not scheduled days off, remain available, fit for flight, and on-call via company cell phone during business hours, within the parameters of company duty/rest policy.
    Work non-standard schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary. Travel is a normal part of the working day with possibility of weekend, overnight, and/or multi-day trips.
    Maintain professional dress, grooming, and conduct in accordance with company and flight department standards.
    Maintain proficiency and keep current with the aviation industry through continuous education/training.
