HK Express | A320 First Officer
HK Express, Hong Kong's pioneering low-cost carrier, is seeking qualified individuals to join its team as Airbus A320 First Officers. This role is based in Hong Kong SAR and involves serving as a First Officer on the airline's modern Airbus A320 fleet, operating its scheduled passenger network across the region. The recruitment drive features two distinct entry streams: pilots holding an A320 type rating and those who are non-type rated.
About the Role
The First Officer will operate as a key member of the flight crew on HK Express's Airbus A320 aircraft. Responsibilities include flying the airline's low-cost scheduled passenger network from its Hong Kong base to various destinations, including expanding secondary and emerging routes. The role offers the opportunity to fly one of the youngest and most modern fleets globally.
Requirements
HK Express offers two parallel entry streams for the Airbus A320 First Officer position:
- A320 Type-Rated Stream: Requires a minimum of 500 flying hours on the A320 type.

Non-Type-Rated Stream:
Requires a minimum of 1,000 flying hours, fulfilling one of the following criteria:
- 500 hours on a turbine-powered aircraft with a maximum certificated take-off weight above 5,670 kg used for commercial aviation.
- 500 hours on a corporate jet.
- 500 hours on a civil-registered transport aircraft certificated for multi-crew operations, with a total flight time of 2,000 hours.
Both streams necessitate the following qualifications:
- A valid multi-engine ICAO CPL with an Instrument Rating acceptable to the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD).
- A valid radiotelephony operator's licence.
- A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- ICAO English Level 4 or above.
