Position Summary

The First Officer/Pilot will serve as an L-382G type rated pilot, undertaking operations for Part 125 assignments both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current FAA Class I Medical certificate.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Be available for overseas travel, typically for 4-7 months annually, in 45-60 day blocks, subject to operational variables.
  • Proficiently utilize a diverse range of weather, flight, and mission planning software, including but not limited to FalconView, JeppView, and FlightDeck.
  • Prioritize and ensure the utmost safety in all flight operations, meticulously determining flight, mission, and risk parameters.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate aircraft into and out of remote mountainous/desert terrain and densely populated urban areas, often under challenging weather conditions.
  • Be prepared to reside in austere or sub-standard living conditions during overseas deployments.
  • Possess the capability to achieve and maintain currency and proficiency as a Captain, with the objective of attaining Captain status within 36 months of employment.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft flight logs and records.
  • Meet and fly to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) standards upon employment (as per FAA-S-8081-5 and FAA-S-8081-20) and obtain an ATP certificate within 48 months of commencing employment.
  • Perform crewmember duties while operating at varying cabin altitudes and conditions.
  • Execute job tasks across a spectrum of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, high elevations, dusty environments, extended and irregular hours, exposure to fumes, stressful situations, and high noise levels.
  • Prepare clear and concise written documentation, such as daily flight reports, log sheets, test reports, and other company-required reports.
  • Perform duties as a rated aircraft pilot, serving as First Officer (FO) and progressing to Captain. Flight assignments will be commensurate with professional qualifications and experience. The company operates Lockheed L-100-30/L-382G cargo aircraft. All flight (FL) codes denote deployable positions requiring CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • FAA commercial aircraft pilot certificate with an instrument rating, possessing a minimum of 1,200 flight hours, including at least 600 hours in a large twin-turbo prop aircraft.
  • A minimum of 100 hours of Night Vision Goggle (NVG) experience.
  • Previous flying position (civilian or military) held within the preceding year.
  • Possession of an undergraduate degree; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Current FAA commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating.
  • Valid FAA Class I Medical certificate. Applicants with an ATP certificate may be considered with a Class II medical.
  • Preferred qualifications include an L-382G type rating, Part 125 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience, and an ATP certificate.

Desired Qualifications

  • ATP certificate, Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certification, U.S. military aviation experience, flight experience in C-130/L-382G operated aircraft (type rating is preferred), and experience with international flight operations.
  • Familiarity with aircraft, airmen, airspace regulations, and operating Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • High level of skill and familiarity with a range of aviation best practices, concepts, and procedures.
