Fixed Wing Pilot - Home Based / Remote
Guardian Flight, a leading provider of medical air transportation services, is seeking experienced and highly skilled Fixed Wing Pilots to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position with a 14/14 work schedule, offering the opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients across the nation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with medical professionals to safely transport patients to and from various locations and facilities.
- Maintain aircraft readiness, ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company standards.
- Accurately document and record shift information, load manifests, and other relevant data.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and partners.
- Provide thorough shift change information to the transitioning pilot and team, adhering to company protocol.
- Maintain required certifications and actively participate in ongoing ground and air training programs.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-ASEL or C-AMEL) certification is required.
- Must be willing and capable of obtaining an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license within five years of employment.
- Valid and unexpired driver's license.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 2,500 total flight hours.
- 2,000 fixed wing hours.
- 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours.
- 500 multi-engine (King Airs only) hours.
- 500 cross country hours.
- 100 night hours.
- 75 instrument (50 actual) hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary ranging from $110,318 to $120,149.
- $15,000 sign-on bonus awarded upon successful completion of training and checkride (no training contract required).
- $40,000 retention bonus payable after six months of employment as part of a three-year program.
- Company-paid commuter expenses and a daily per diem of $50.00.
- Company-provided crew housing.
- Company-sponsored Known Crew Member (KCM) access.
Working Conditions:
- Work requires exposure to various weather conditions.
- May involve de-icing aircraft, assisting with towing, maneuvering in and out of hangars, and preparing aircraft for flight.
Physical Demands:
- Position requires standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- May assist with patient loading, requiring lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Requires close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
