Job Role:
The Second Officer functions as second in command of the aircraft, providing critical support to the Captain during all operational scenarios, both routine and non-routine, ensuring the highest standards of safety are consistently maintained. The Second Officer will consistently exemplify and uphold exemplary standards in all facets of the role, serving as a brand ambassador for the organization and upholding its corporate image at all times.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining the safe day-to-day operation of the aircraft as the second in command.
- Setting an example for all crew members, reinforcing the organization's corporate image.
- Ensuring strict adherence to all policies and procedures by the entire crew.
- Promptly notifying the company or NCAA of any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or safety protocols through established reporting channels, facilitating continuous learning and enhancement of flight safety.
- Maintaining personal fitness for flight at all times and promptly informing the company of any impairment.
- Operating the aircraft in strict compliance with approved policies and procedures as defined by the organization and the NCAA.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Must have flown within the last 24 months.
- Possession of an NCAA Commercial Pilot License.
- A valid Medical certificate from ICAO.
- English language proficiency to ICAO level 4 minimum.
- A current or previously held valid multi-engine instrument rating: IR (A) ME PBN.
- A certificate of satisfactory completion of multi-crew co-operation (MCC) training.
- Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, Crew Resource Management (CRM), and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated command potential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ATPL subjects.
Experience:
- A minimum of 200 hours of total flying time.
- Experience on modern (EFIS), multi-crew, multi-engine transport category aircraft is highly desirable.
Must-Have Skills:
- ATPL
- CPL
- ICAO Level 4 English Proficiency
