GoJet Airlines Flight Attendant - Washington Dulles, VA

GoJet Airlines seeks dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join its flight attendant team, based in Washington Dulles, VA. This position offers the opportunity to travel while providing exceptional customer service aboard the modern CRJ-550 aircraft operating for United Express. No prior experience is required; however, candidates must be committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer care.

As the sole flight attendant on a 50-passenger aircraft, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all safety and security procedures from boarding to deplaning. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, while consistently delivering a memorable and positive customer experience. GoJet Airlines uniquely assigns flight attendants to the base for which they apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding in-flight service, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain excellent dependability and punctuality.
  • Exercise independent judgment while contributing to a cohesive team environment.
  • Manage a wide range of situations in continuous public interaction, both on and off the aircraft.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
  • Respond appropriately to both emergency and non-emergency scenarios, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly cabin environment.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and work rules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Two years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, including making announcements and issuing emergency instructions.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
  • Unrestricted legal right to travel to/from all states and Canada.
  • Residency within 100 miles (two hours) of the Washington Dulles domicile.
  • Valid travel documents throughout training and employment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to complete up to six weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.
  • Availability to be on call and report for duty in the assigned base (reserve duty), potentially for several years.
  • Adherence to uniform standards and guidelines, maintaining a professional and conservative appearance. Tattoos or body piercings on the hands, face, or neck or visible in business attire are not permitted, with the exception of piercings related to religious beliefs.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, push-pull, and lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to stand and speak for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and manage conditions such as turbulence, dry air, and aircraft engine noise.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including spending consecutive nights away from home and working in all climates.
  • Willingness to work alternative schedules including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and de-escalation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, providing a friendly reception to all passengers.
  • Professional representation of the GoJet Airlines brand while in uniform.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with customers through effective communication, good judgment, and empathy.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $19.58 per hour.
  • Minimum of 75 hours per month.
  • $2.00 per hour per diem.

Training:

Selected candidates must successfully complete a company-paid training program at the Flight Attendant Training Center in St. Louis, MO, including hands-on evaluations in the aircraft. Training is approximately five to six weeks in length. GoJet Flight Attendant candidates will receive two complimentary training courses through the Inflight Institute. A mandatory supplemental video course must be completed before the interview, and a pre-course must be passed with a score of 80% or higher to attend the in-person training in St. Louis.
