First Officer Position - Business Aviation Operations (EASA)
Globe Air invites applications from highly dedicated and professional aviators for the role of First Officer. Successful candidates will become integral members of the flight operations team, contributing to seamless executive travel across Europe.
Mandatory Minimum Requirements
Candidates must strictly adhere to the following essential criteria to be considered for this First Officer role:
- Flight Time: A minimum of 250 hours total flight time.
- License: Must hold a valid EASA Frozen ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License).
- Ratings: Mandatory Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine (ME) qualification, and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate.
- Medical Certification: Must possess a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 minimum.
- Documentation: Candidates must hold an unrestricted passport and a valid international driving license.
- Professional Conduct: Demonstrated ability to represent Globe Air in a professional and respectful manner, supporting all team members, partners, clients, and suppliers.
- Visa/Residency: Globe Air does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Financial and Operational Commitment
The successful applicant must meet crucial logistical and financial requirements to ensure operational readiness:
- Type Rating and Training
- The ability to self-sponsor Type Rating training (approximately €33,000, plus applicable value-added tax) is a MUST, unless the candidate is already rated on the Citation Mustang (C510) or Citation CJ1/CJ2 (C525) series aircraft. Training will be provided for successful candidates who are not type rated.
- Commute and Duty Dispatch
- Applicants must be able to commute within 60 minutes by car from one of the designated crew bases to support timely duty dispatch and return. Designated airports include: Vienna (LOWW), Linz (LOWL), Salzburg (LOWS), London (EGLL, EGGK, EGGW, EGSS), Munich (EDDM), Rome (LIRA, LIRF), Milan (LIML, LIMC), Amsterdam (EHAM), Zurich (LSZH), Geneva (LSGG), and Barcelona (LEBL).
Preferred Qualifications
While the minimum requirements are mandatory, candidates possessing the following credentials will be highly regarded:
- Experience operating within an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) environment.
- Previous professional experience in business aviation is a significant advantage.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 or higher.
- Candidates who possess permanent residency in Austria or are willing to relocate to Austria to support base operations.
