Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- The Captain is primarily accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring the utmost safety and well-being of all crew members and passengers.
- Responsible for meticulously assessing and confirming the airworthiness of the aircraft, evaluating prevailing weather conditions affecting the flight, and ensuring strict adherence to all flight regulations and air traffic control procedures.
- Proactively utilizes all available tools, technologies, and aids designed to maximize safety standards, both in flight and on the ground.
- Demonstrates unequivocal safety ownership in every facet of their responsibilities, performance, and behavior, ensuring the successful and secure outcome of every flight mission.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid FAA Airmen Certificate is required.
- A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Must hold a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s permit.
- An Airbus 320 Type rating is highly preferred.
- Candidates must meet all requirements stipulated under FAR 121.436.
- A minimum of 4000 hours of total flight time is required.
- Applicants must possess either 1000 jet hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) under a 121 Certificate, or 1500 jet hours as PIC under a 135 Certificate.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to maintain a valid passport throughout employment is essential.
- Capacity to travel unrestricted to and from the United States is required.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to meet specific physical demands essential for successful job performance. This includes frequent communication (talking or hearing), standing, walking, and utilizing hands for manipulation or feeling, as well as reaching with hands and arms. Occasional requirements include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The Captain must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities necessary for this position encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
