Rotorcraft Captain, Heli-Medical Transport Operations

The Captain is primarily responsible for the safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant execution of all assigned air ambulance missions.
Key Responsibilities
The Rotorcraft Captain performs essential duties related to air transport safety and readiness:
- Collaborates closely with a dedicated team of medical experts (nurses and paramedics) to safely transport patients and customers between incident locations, referring facilities, and medical centers.
- Ensures the complete operational readiness and airworthiness of the assigned aircraft prior to all flight dispatches, strictly adhering to all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Maintains the highest level of flight discipline, safety awareness, and regulatory knowledge during all phases of flight and ground operations.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet or exceed the following mandatory requirements for consideration:
Certificates and Ratings
- Rotorcraft Certification
- A current, valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate.
- Instrument Rating
- Possession of a current Helicopter Instrument Rating is required.
- Medical Certification
- Must hold a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, at minimum.
Required Flight Time Minimums (Mandatory)
- A minimum of 2,000 total flight hours.
- A minimum of 1,500 total hours logged as helicopter flight time.
