Overview:

Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX) seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join its team in Miami, FL. The Captain is a vital leader responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in aircraft operations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, prioritizing the safety of all crew members and passengers.
  • Ensures the airworthiness of the aircraft before flight and considers all relevant factors, including weather conditions, flight regulations, and air traffic control procedures.
  • Utilizes all available tools, resources, and aids to maximize safety standards both in the air and on the ground.
  • Demonstrates unwavering ownership of safety in every aspect of their duties, performance, and behavior, ensuring a successful outcome for every flight.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid FAA Airmen Certificate.
  • Possesses a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Holds a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s permit.
  • Must meet the experience and training requirements stipulated in FAR 121.436.
  • Requires a minimum of 4000 hours of total flight time.
  • Must have logged either 1000 Jet hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) under a FAR Part 121 Certificate OR 1500 Jet hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) under a FAR Part 135 Certificate.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to maintain a valid passport allowing for unrestricted travel to and from the United States.
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Airbus A320 Type Rating is preferred.

Physical Demands:

The role requires meeting standard physical demands necessary to perform essential functions. This includes regular talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, use of hands for fine manipulation, and reaching; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The position requires frequently lifting and moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, are required.
