Job Purpose
To enact the role of Simulator Pilot to provide reliable technical training, flight data processing and administrative support to the Training Academy. Participate in the preparation and delivery of Air Traffic Control simulation training by acquiring and maintaining an ICAO and State Regulatory compliant standard of operation in the role of Pseudo Pilot and simulator subject matter expert (SME).
Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Work with the Chief Instructor and respective ATS Instructors to design and develop the simulation modules for ATC training courses

Configure the simulator and deliver exercise scenarios in accordance with Pilot SOPs and phraseology standards

Develop and test airspace, aircraft performance and exercises parameters required by the Chief Instructor to ensure accuracy of training delivery

Support the Chief Instructor in identifying training needs for Pseudo Pilots when a new simulator equipment is installed to ensure that resulting simulation programs remain relevant

Identify and report issues with training equipment in use and simulator failures (hardware and software) for timely action to minimise disruption of service delivery

Maintain own competencies and currency of ratings and endorsements to ensure subject matter expertise remain up to date and valid

Train new/existing pseudo pilots and/or students on simulator operations to maintain the high standard of training delivery

Perform additional responsibilities that may arise from time to time to meet operational and / or organisational requirements

Technical Competencies
Educational Qualification:

Minimum High School Diploma
Professional Certifications:
-
Minimum ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency

Private Pilot Licence (PPL) preferred
Experience:
-
ATM experience preferably in a training/facilitation role within the area of expertise

2 years’ experience as a pseudo pilot at a State regulatory Approved Training Organization preferred
