Nurse Instructor Job Description

Genesis Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Instructor to mentor, nurture, and inspire future nursing assistants.
Responsibilities

Plan, develop, teach, and coordinate the certified nursing assistant training program.

Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of nursing assistant students.

Direct and/or assist in the development and implementation of nursing center orientation and mentoring for the nurse aide training program.

Conduct rounds in all patient and resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are rendered.
Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.

Minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.

Minimum of one to two years of clinical experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing (subject to State or Regulatory Agency requirements).

Must complete a course focusing on teaching adult students, possess experience in teaching adult students, or have experience supervising nurse aides (subject to State or Regulatory Agency requirements).

Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

CPR certification is required per state-specific requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
USD $46.00 – USD $48.00 per hour.
