The Role of a Captain (Line Pilot)

As a Commander (Line Pilot), the Captain will assume a crucial role in frontline air ambulance operations. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient transport of medical passengers and patients, as well as the leadership and management of Technical Crew Members during flights. The Captain's expertise will be vital in ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory and company-specific safety protocols, thereby safeguarding the lives of those onboard and within the aircraft's operational vicinity.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential Requirements:

• Hold a current CAA ATPL(A) or CPL(A) Licence with Multi/Instrument Rating.
• A minimum of 2000 hours Total Flight Time, including 1500 hours as Pilot-In-Command of aircraft.
• Demonstrable experience in a challenging operational environment, coupled with the ability to function effectively as part of a team and possess excellent Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills.
• A proactive approach to service delivery and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Physical and mental fitness suitable for the demands of the role, including stretcher patient loading and shift work.
• A flexible approach to rostering, operating within the scope of the Flight Time Limitations (FTL) scheme.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.

Advantageous Qualifications:

• Possession of a BE20 King Air type rating.
• Familiarity with electronic flight bag (EFB) applications.
