EASA Licensed H145 Commander (HEMS)
We are currently seeking an experienced and adaptable H145 Commander to join a dynamic Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) operation in Portugal. This position requires strong decision-making skills, operational leadership, and the ability to perform safely in time-critical missions across multiple bases.
Key Requirements

Portuguese language proficiency is essential for all operational settings; native speakers are ideal.

Minimum of 5,000+ flight hours total time is strongly preferred.

Must reside in Portugal or within sufficient proximity to operate from multiple bases.

High degree of flexibility is required as no single fixed base is guaranteed.

Non-current candidates or those with expired licenses will be considered, as revalidation support is provided.

Commitment requirements include a 6-month initial bond, extending to a 2-year total commitment for candidates without a current H145 license.
Responsibilities

Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for all HEMS missions utilizing the Airbus H145.

Provide leadership and management for the crew during mission planning, execution, and post-flight phases.

Execute sound operational decisions within demanding, time-critical environments.

Ensure full compliance with flight safety standards, aviation regulations, and company procedures.

Maintain effective communication with medical teams, dispatch, and operational control personnel.
