The Role
The Instructor Pilot plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction, contributing to the development of aviation personnel. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of modern flight operations and a strong aptitude for teaching, ensuring the highest standards of safety and proficiency are maintained within specialized training programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensing: Applicants must hold a valid EASA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements.
- Medical: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- English Language Proficiency: An ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher is required.
- Flight Experience: Candidates must possess a distinguished background as a former jet pilot or Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) with the German Armed Forces, specifically individuals with prior experience as FLB/ÜLB personnel.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required; comprehensive type rating training pertinent to the role will be provided by GFD Aviation.
