JOB OPPORTUNITY - CASUAL PILOTS
PA-60 Piper Aerostar
Term: Casual (13 weeks min.)
We are inviting applications for Pilot in Fredericton New Brunswick for short term Pilot positions, acting in an aerial controller capacity. Reporting to the Chief Pilot, pilots will operate the PA-60 Piper Aerostar and fulfill the following tasks:
Operate as the project overwatch pilot, or “Aerial Controller”, partnering with the spray project manager, to complete aerial assessment of project areas for hazards, conflicting traffic, continuous safety analysis, and provide updates to aircrews as necessary.
Expected to work split shifts as necessary to complete the project in a timely fashion, staying compliant with TC scheduling requirements.
Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL’s Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time
Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner
Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times
Successful candidates will be expected to work in a rapid paced, team environment in remote locations, and demonstrate a high level of effective communication, discipline, sound decision-making skills, and willingness to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate, as per contract requirements:
Must possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing, and
Minimum 1000 hours, multi Pilot-in-Command 100 hours
