About the Role
The First Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and timely execution of flights. Key duties include monitoring flight paths and aircraft systems, performing pre- and post-flight checks, communicating with stakeholders, navigating, and operating the aircraft in compliance with regulations and company policies. The First Officer will assist the Captain in all operational and administrative duties, uphold crew discipline, and maintain a high personal standard of conduct. In the event of Captain incapacitation, the First Officer will assume command.
Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent

SACAA Commercial Pilot License (Essential)

SACAA ATPL (Preferred)
-
Class 1 SACAA Medical Certificate (Essential)

Type rated on Boeing aircraft (Advantageous)

Experience on Commercial Jets over 20 Tons (Advantageous)

Minimum of 1500 flying hours, including 500 Multi-Turbine hours, if not Boeing Type Rated or if Boeing Type Rated with less specific experience (Essential)

Multi Crew experience (Essential)

No existing medical conditions

Willingness to sign applicable training bonds

Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing

Own transport and RSA Driver’s License

South African Citizen with proof of identity

Valid RSA Passport

Willingness to work irregular hours on a roster

Detailed knowledge and understanding of National Aviation regulations, including SACAA and ICAO

Knowledge of ICAO Doc 8186 (Essential)
