Aviation Pilot Opportunity: Qualifications & Experience
Prospective candidates for this esteemed pilot position are sought with a distinguished record and a commitment to excellence. Successful applicants must satisfy the following essential qualifications and experience requirements to be considered:
- Possession of a Matric Certificate / Grade 12 or N3 equivalent, or a relevant tertiary qualification that is accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
- Achievement of a D symbol or higher on the Higher Grade, or a C symbol or higher on the Standard Grade in both Mathematics or Statistics 101 and English. Additionally, candidates must have achieved a D symbol or higher on the Higher Grade, or a C symbol or higher on the Standard Grade in either Physical Science or Computer Science.
- Hold a valid South African Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL), or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) having successfully completed all the theoretical ground subjects required for the ATPL (commonly known as a Frozen ATPL). Candidates holding a CPL must obtain a full ATPL within four years from the date of employment. A current multi-engine instrument rating is mandatory.
- Possess a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- Accrued a minimum of 1,500 total flying hours, which must include a minimum of 200 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
- Must be a citizen of South Africa and hold a valid South African Passport.
