Pilot Qualifications & Experience
Prospective candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
- Holds a Matric Certificate, Grade 12 results, N3, or relevant tertiary qualifications accredited by SAQA.
- Achieved a D symbol on Higher Grade or a C symbol on Standard Grade in both Mathematics or Statistics 101 and English.
- Achieved a D symbol on Higher Grade or a C symbol on Standard Grade in either Physical Science or Computer Science.
- Possesses a valid South African Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with all ATPL ground subjects completed (Frozen ATPL).
- If holding a CPL with Frozen ATPL, commits to obtaining a valid ATPL within four years of commencing employment.
- Holds a valid multi-engine instrument rating.
- Holds a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- Has accumulated a minimum of 1,500 total flying hours, including at least 200 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
- Is a South African citizen with a valid passport.
