Job Purpose
To conduct and deliver pilot training programs and pilot proficiency checks for the purpose of skill tests associated with the initial type rating and/or issuance of the ATPL.
Identifies the gaps, enhances and develops their professional skills ensuring ultimate safety, security and efficiency are achieved throughout all operated flights. Train and guide the pilots, in accordance with the detailed provisions of Fly Jinnah Operational Manual and in compliance with the PCAA related regulations.
Key Result Responsibilities

Performs Pilot training as required by Fly Jinnah according to international standards, to ensure a safe and efficient Entry-into-service and operation of Airbus aircrafts; Conducts airfield and airport familiarization.

Delivers effective and timely Pilot training programs to meet business operational needs and defined standards of performance prescribed in the Operational Manual, ensures compliance with quality requirements and PCAA regulations at all times and performs according to those standards taking into account safety, efficiency and customer comfort.

Conducts both theoretical and practical/technical trainings to include but not limited to: Initial and Recurrent Trainings, Aircraft Systems and Layout, Crew Resources Management

Cooperates with different teams to identify gaps and provide recommendations in training needs for the Flight Crew; supervises the progress of trainings conducted versus the performance of trainees and generates reports to management accordingly.

Provides continuous guidance and support to the Pilots, on courses and One-To-One coaching sessions to inspire them achieve best results in their area; provides reports on programs and suggests courses improvements as necessary.

Prepares the First Officers and Second Officers to meet required competencies and be ready to operate; maintains records of necessary certificates and licenses with renewal due dates to meet recertification requirements.

Notifies the Training Examiners of any breaches in SOP or safety as appropriate; identifies safety risks in accordance with the Fly Jinnah risk assessment process, and monitors risk mitigation steps implemented within the workplace; educates pilots to enhance safety.

Communicates to Pilots the Flight Operations Manual in the training courses to ensure abidance by regulations and procedures set by the PCAA, IOSA and other related regulatory bodies.

Provides the Pilots with necessary notices related to trainings, licensing and qualifying of Pilots and explains ensuring those are fully understood by the respective personnel.

Supports the training team through the internal/external audit requirements and checks, ensures availability, update, and compliance of related documents, reports, attendance sheets and records with the approved standards; raises conduct matters to Supervisor/Manager for appropriate solutions.

Executes training schedules and the agreed course material ensuring highest level of training quality and standardization Contributes to the creation and updating of questions databank to be used in the Pilot selection and evaluation exams. Ensures safety and readiness of facilities, equipment, tools as well as tests and results.

Supports the new joiners in the Induction Program on the (LMS) and briefing sessions; provides guidance and replies to enquiries on content as necessary.

Supports other hubs in conducting training programs; conducts training courses to “Third Parties” when and as needed.

Operates as Pilot as and when required by scheduling; carries out observational flights as a checker on regular basis.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

ATPL License (Aircraft Transportation License) is a must.

Appropriate corresponding aircraft type rating certificates are essential (Airbus 320, 321).

Must pass the technical/psychometric assessment for the Pilots as per Fly Jinnah/PCAA standards.

He/she must pass the Medical Fitness check-up carried for the Pilots as per Fly Jinnah/PCAA standards.

Basic Airport security procedures and regulations training is a must.

Training in First Aid, Safety and Emergency Response is essential requirement for this role whereas formal qualification is a plus.

Training certificates such as “Train the Trainer”, “NLP”, “Instructive Training”, are an advantage.

Crew Resources Management Training is an advantage for this role.

Expert in Aircraft systems, proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search.

Very good in written and verbal communication skills, Technical reports writing, presentations, etc.

Fluent in English Language.
Work Experience
-
5+ years working as a pilot for a comparable Airline; experience with low cost airline is highly desirable.

He/she must have completed a minimum of 1500 hours as a Training Instructor with an Airline Company delivering training to pilots on the Airbus 320.

Exposure on Civil Aviation Authorities and regulatory bodies, preferably PCAA; familiar with regulations of PCAA, IOSA pertaining to Flight Operations and pilots licensing.

Knowledge in modern training techniques and tools used for technical subjects; must have conducted training on First Aid and Airline Safety.

Experienced in designing, catering and delivering training courses according to standards and business needs.

Capable of monitoring performance against procedures, manuals, standards and regulations.
