Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant

Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as a distinguished ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall passenger experience. The role demands the provision of excellent customer service, paramount attention to passenger safety, and ensuring comfort throughout every phase of the flight cycle. Cabin Crew are expected to be operationally ready and physically fit, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Conduct & Preparedness

  • Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, optimal fitness, and full legal compliance for all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distribution, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.

Safety & Security Protocols

  • Instructs passengers comprehensively on all safety procedures, ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the flight.
  • Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers essential first aid to passengers requiring medical attention during flights.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate, ensuring rapid communication and resolution.

Exceptional Customer Service

  • Extends a warm welcome to passengers and provides comprehensive assistance with boarding formalities. Accurately records necessary data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with airline and Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service, meticulously attending to passengers' pre-bookings, special requests, and individual needs.
  • Identifies and offers empathetic assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
  • Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.

Pre, In-Flight & Post-Flight Operations

  • Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment are on board prior to departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is immaculately cleaned during transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are replenished before subsequent flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
  • Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
  • Provides accountability to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains current professional and safety knowledge through regular attendance at recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring all licenses remain valid.
  • Contributes to overall team success by achieving allocated sales targets and operational objectives.

Experience, Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates are welcome to attend open house events without a prior invitation.

  • Age Requirements:
    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age - Cabin Crew: 28 years
    • Maximum Age - Lead Cabin Crew: 36 years
  • Educational Background:
    • Attested Secondary School Certificate (SSC) / O-Level with equivalency certificate.
    • Attested Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) / A-Level with equivalency certificate.
  • Documentation:
    • Valid National Identity Card (CNIC) and Passport.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
    • Proficiency in other languages is a distinct advantage.
  • Physical Standards:
    • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
    • Weight: Must be proportionate to age and height.
    • Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
    • Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Experience:
    • Fresh candidates are eligible to apply for the Cabin Crew position.
    • Only experienced Cabin Crew members may apply for the Lead Cabin Crew position.

Assessment Day Guidelines

To ensure a professional presentation during the assessment day, candidates are requested to adhere to the following grooming standards:

  • Hair:
    • Females: Hair should be worn up/pulled back in a classic bun or French twist.
    • Males: Hair must be neatly presented.
  • Makeup/Face:
    • Females: Full make-up is required.
    • Males: Face must be clean-shaven.
  • Dress Code:
    • Females: Suit or smart business attire, including a jacket and a plain blouse. Recommended colors are black, grey, or dark blue.
    • Males: Suit or smart business attire.
  • Shoes:
    • Females: Formal classic heels.
    • Males: Formal work shoes.
