Job Summary: Boeing 787 Fleet Implementation Lead

The Boeing 787 Fleet Implementation Lead acts as the primary authority for the implementation, entry into service (EIS), and operational integration of the Boeing 787 fleet. This role provides sustained technical and operational expertise within the Flight Operations department, ensuring seamless coordination of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation. The successful candidate will integrate cross-departmental inputs while maintaining rigorous adherence to Safety Management System (SMS) principles, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Flight Operations implementation and Entry Into Service (EIS) program for the Boeing 787 fleet.
  • Coordinate flight operations activities to ensure alignment with project milestones, safety objectives, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the development, review, and approval of Boeing 787 SOPs, operational policies, and procedures in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
  • Facilitate operational readiness by integrating inputs from Safety, Training, Engineering, Ground Operations, Network Control, Inflight Services, and IT departments.
  • Chair and participate in cross-functional project working groups.
  • Conduct Management of Change (MOC) procedures, operational risk assessments, and hazard identification.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain quality control within Flight Operations to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities to support certification and ongoing compliance.
  • Manage the production and implementation of technical manuals and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to support the development of courseware and reference materials, ensuring consistency across SOPs, MEL/CDL considerations, and training programs.
  • Monitor manufacturer publications, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluate post-implementation performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the Flight Operations department in internal and external forums and industry conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Licensing: Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Experience: 10–12 years of relevant experience.
  • Operational Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in safety management systems and project management within an airline or civil aviation authority; verified flying experience in long-haul operations in wide-body aircraft.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in professional report writing and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Language: Fluency in English.
