Responsibilities:

  • Teach four of the following undergraduate courses/sections:
  • Private pilot ground school
  • Instrument rating ground school
  • Commercial pilot ground school
  • Instructor pilot ground school
  • Meteorology
  • Aerodynamics
  • Aviation Safety
  • Aviation Physical Science
  • Advanced Aircraft Systems
  • Advanced Aircraft Operations
  • Teach undergraduate courses on-campus, online, or at extended campuses
  • Advise undergraduate students on academic matters and career planning
  • Advise student organizations and clubs on campus
  • Serve on division, school, and university committees as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in aeronautical science, aviation or a related field
  • Experience in fields applicable to aviation
  • Teaching experience
  • FAA Advanced Ground Instructor (or Certified Flight Instructor) and Instrument Ground Instructor (or Certified Flight Instructor Instrument) certificates
  • Ability to apply current instructional technology in classroom and distance learning

Desired Qualifications:

  • University teaching experience
  • Air carrier, charter, or corporate aviation experience
  • Current pilot qualifications
  • At least one rating in a turbine aircraft
  • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
