Flight Instructor - Orlando, FL

FlightSafety International seeks a qualified Flight Instructor for its Orlando, FL facility. This role involves delivering comprehensive ground and simulator instruction for aviation training programs, including core, specialty, and enrichment courses. The successful candidate will develop training materials, assess trainee progress, maintain accurate records, and support clients in achieving their aviation training objectives, all while upholding instructor qualifications.

About the Role

• Deliver high-quality ground and simulator instruction.
• Prepare and develop curriculum-aligned training materials.
• Evaluate trainee progress and recommend further training as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete client training records.
• Address client training issues and seek assistance when necessary.
• Maintain current instructor qualifications according to regulatory requirements.
• Instruction may occur in classroom settings, simulator environments, or physically demanding operational conditions.

Requirements

• Must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate or an ATPL (ICAO).
• Must possess at least one unrestricted Pilot-In-Command (PIC) type rating.
• Willingness to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards and common aviation regulations.
• Ability to manage classes and teach effectively.
• Proficiency in facilitation and customer-service skills.
• Capacity to accept coaching and feedback.
• Must meet specific vision, lifting, mobility, and work-environment requirements.
• May need to satisfy OFAC, ITAR/EAR, U.S. Person or export-authorization, and security-clearance eligibility.
• Applicants without an ATP must meet 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 requirements without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience.
• 2,500 hours of total flight time.
