FlightSafety International seeks a Flight Crew Training Instructor (FCTI) for its KC-46 training program in the United States. This role involves delivering comprehensive ground-based academic and simulator training to U.S. Air Force and Allied Nation KC-46 Pilots, Aeromedical students, and Maintenance Engine Run students.
About the Role
The Flight Crew Training Instructor (FCTI) is instrumental in educating aircrew and maintenance personnel on the KC-46 aircraft. Responsibilities include instructing in various training devices such as classrooms, Pilot Part Task Trainers (PTTP), Boom Operator Part Task Trainers (PTTB), Fuselage Trainers (FuT), Weapon Systems Trainers (WST), and the KC-46 aircraft itself. The FCTI will monitor student progress, document performance, conduct debriefings, and serve as a subject matter expert on KC-46 aircraft systems. This position also involves developing and maintaining instructional knowledge and providing feedback for courseware improvements.
Requirements

Conduct all Initial, Upgrade, and Requalification academic training using approved training devices and the KC-46 aircraft.

Deliver Maintenance Engine Run courses.

Provide ground-based training for KC-46 crew members, including Visual Threat Recognition and Avoidance Trainer.

Conduct briefings, debriefings, and provide counseling to students to enhance technical acumen and proficiency.

Extract and analyze student data, preparing for review sessions.

Maintain exceptional standards of instruction, knowledge, and expertise in KC-46 aircraft systems and operating procedures.

Apply instructional principles and theories related to aircrew training systems.

Operate Learning Management Systems and Graduate Training Integration Management Systems.

Conduct exams and prepare results.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Associate Degree, or a combination of two years of education and experience.

Extensive aviation aircrew or aviation-related instructor experience relevant to aircraft systems.

Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interface with students and provide remediation.
-
Basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to successfully accomplish an annual internal standardization evaluation.

Must currently possess, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a SECRET clearance.
Desirable Experience

Familiarity with the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process.

Courseware development experience.

Tanker and receiver experience as a Crewmember.

Aviation Mechanics, Flight Engineers, Navigators, or Weapon Systems Officers with at least 10 years of military experience in associated positions.
