Position Overview:

The Flight Instructor will be responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator-based flight instruction, adhering to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, and enrichment training courses.
Develop and prepare engaging training materials that effectively support training delivery and meet the specific needs of each client, adhering to the relevant curriculum.
Evaluate and measure trainee progress meticulously, providing recommendations for qualification or additional training as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed training records for each client, facilitating their success in achieving their training objectives.
Proactively identify any client training challenges and seek appropriate assistance prior to course execution.
Maintain all required Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Unrestricted ATP certificate or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.
In lieu of an ATP certificate, candidates must meet the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
Preferred: FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience.
Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time.
Demonstrated knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices.
Working knowledge of common aviation regulations.
Proven ability to effectively manage classes and deliver engaging instruction.
Strong first-level facilitation and customer service skills.
Ability to be receptive to coaching and feedback to support ongoing professional development.
Ability and willingness to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to perform tasks such as operating simulator controls, moving around the training environment, and potentially working in confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and varying weather conditions.
