FlightSafety International is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) to support client training operations in their Learning Centers. This role involves acting as a competent SIC for pilots undergoing recurrent, initial, or generic training courses in multi-crew aircraft.
The Simulator Second in Command is responsible for acting as the "Second-In-Command" for both internal and external Customer Pilots for various training courses. This position ensures the smooth operation of training scenarios by providing a qualified SIC when a client pilot attends training without a flying partner. The SIC will not be performing instructional duties but will maintain currency and qualification in assigned programs and aircraft types, adhering to FlightSafety International's Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant aviation regulations.
The role requires the ability to use hands to manipulate controls, reach, and talk or hear. Employees may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell. Specific physical capabilities include exerting pressure and manipulating foot controls, reaching and manipulating numerous simulator controls, entering and exiting the simulator via a ramp, and exiting a malfunctioning simulator in a pitched attitude. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role involves regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Employees will frequently work near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally work in high places, in various weather conditions, and be exposed to noise, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme temperatures.
